Compare Health Insurance With Clear, Practical Advice

Private health insurance can be difficult to compare. One policy may include outpatient cover as standard, another may not. One insurer may offer strong mental health support, while another may focus on lower-cost hospital treatment. Some providers offer rewards, some use guided hospital access, and others structure cover through optional modules.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between moratorium and full medical underwriting?
Full Medical Underwriting (FMU) requires you to disclose your complete medical history upfront. The insurer will then tell you exactly what is and isn’t covered before the policy starts. Moratorium underwriting doesn’t require upfront disclosure, but it automatically excludes any conditions you’ve had in the past 5 years. You must remain symptom-free for 2 years on the policy before those conditions might be covered.
Generally, standard business health policies do not cover pre-existing conditions. However, if you are setting up a group scheme for a larger team (typically 20+ employees), you may be eligible for “Medical History Disregarded” (MHD) underwriting, which can cover pre-existing conditions for your staff.
No. Our service is completely free to you. We often have access to broker-exclusive rates that are cheaper than going direct. Insurers pay us a standard commission for introducing clients and managing the administration, meaning the price you pay is exactly the same (or often better) than going direct.
